Colour care, without the guesswork

Products for Colour-Treated, Blonde and Highlighted Hair

Manage unwanted warmth, restore a softer feel and protect before styling. Start with what your colour needs today, because purple toning, everyday hydration and professional-service aftercare do different jobs.

Celine Claire recommendations only. Price, shipping, tax and payment options adjust automatically for your location.

Dimensional highlighted hair with natural texture and shine
Choose the colour-care route

What changed first: the tone, the feel or the routine?

These routes can overlap, but they are not interchangeable — and a visitor who learns they do not need purple products has also received a good recommendation.

The colour looks yellow or brassy

Choose the purple-care route when blonde, platinum, silver, grey, highlighted or lightened sections look warmer than intended. Start with Silver & Purple Shampoo for cleansing plus temporary toning. Choose Purple Mask when you want the conditioning step to deliver temporary violet pigment too.

Compare Purple Care

The hair feels dry, rough or harder to manage

Choose the hydration route when colour is where you want it but the hair needs regular moisture-focused cleansing and conditioning. The Argan Oil Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner are the everyday pair; Argan Oil Hair Mask is the richer scheduled treatment.

Build a Hydration Route

Heat tools are part of the style

Choose Heat Shield before blow-drying, flat ironing or curling. Apply it in sections to damp or dry midlengths and ends, distribute it evenly and let visibly wet mist dry before a hot tool touches the hair.

Protect Before Styling

The hair needs smoothing maintenance or professional-service aftercare

Choose the Keratin & Botox pair for its approved daily smoothing, softness, detangling and anti-frizz positioning on colour-treated or processed hair. If the hair recently received a professional keratin or Hair Botox service, first confirm compatibility and follow that service’s waiting period before washing.

Understand Service Aftercare
Blonde and silver highlighted strands with tonal dimension
The essential distinction

Purple care is a tone tool, not a rule for every colour

Purple pigment is useful when yellow or brassy-looking warmth appears in blonde, platinum, silver, grey, highlighted or lightened hair. It is not automatically the right choice for red, copper, black or evenly dark brunette colour. A brunette customer with blonde balayage may apply purple care to the lightened sections where unwanted warmth is visible rather than expecting it to transform untreated dark hair.

Purple products deposit temporary violet pigment. They do not bleach, lighten or permanently colour the hair. Starting shade, porosity, previous services, timing and frequency can affect how the dry result looks.

If the tone is already where you want it, move to moisture and protection rather than adding pigment by default.

Purple shampoo and purple mask

Two purple products, two different steps

The shampoo step · weekly

Silver & Purple Shampoo

A 300 ml highly pigmented weekly toning shampoo for blonde, bleached, platinum, silver and highlighted hair across textures, when unwanted yellow or brassy-looking tones begin to show. It cleanses while depositing temporary violet pigment.

  1. Wear gloves and protect clothing and porous surfaces.
  2. Wet the hair thoroughly.
  3. Work the shampoo from roots to ends, concentrating on blonde, silver or highlighted areas where warmth is most visible.
  4. Leave for approximately one minute for a subtle result or up to five minutes for more intensive toning.
  5. Rinse thoroughly.
  6. Follow with compatible conditioning care. On a planned Purple Mask day, the mask becomes the conditioning step.

Use once weekly under the current direction, then adjust future timing from the dry result rather than assuming longer is always better.

Timing: about 1 minute for subtle toning · up to 5 minutes for intensityWhat follows: compatible conditioner, or Purple Mask on a planned mask day

The conditioning step · replaces conditioner

Purple Mask for Blonde Hair

A 400 ml highly pigmented violet conditioning mask for blonde, platinum, silver, grey and highlighted hair. It helps soften the appearance of yellow and brassy-looking warmth while supporting softness, smoother feel, shine and manageability.

  1. Wear gloves and protect clothing and porous surfaces.
  2. Shampoo and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Skip regular conditioner on this wash.
  4. Apply Purple Mask generously to wet hair and comb through evenly, without rough handling.
  5. Leave for no more than five minutes.
  6. Rinse thoroughly and assess the result after the hair is dry.

Use weekly or as needed. Avoid stacking several highly pigmented products more often than the hair’s tone requires.

Applying purple shampoo to wet blonde hair while wearing gloves
Gloves on, every time

Pigment belongs on the hair, not the towels

Both purple products are highly pigmented. Gloves, protected clothing and non-porous surfaces are part of the method — and thorough rinsing is what keeps the result a tone correction rather than a violet cast. Begin conservatively and judge only the dry result.

Choose the intensity

Mask-only day, purple-shampoo day or full purple routine?

Gentle

Mask-only toning day

Use a compatible shampoo, then Purple Mask for no more than five minutes. The mask replaces conditioner. Choose this when conditioning plus a measured pigment step fits the immediate need.

Standard

Purple-shampoo day

Use Silver & Purple Shampoo for approximately one minute or up to five minutes, rinse and follow with a compatible regular conditioner. Choose this when cleansing and tone correction are the priority.

Strongest · use conservatively

Full purple routine

Use Silver & Purple Shampoo within its one-to-five-minute range, rinse, then Purple Mask for no more than five minutes instead of regular conditioner. Both products are highly pigmented — begin conservatively, watch the dry result and do not repeat the full route more often than necessary.

No pigment needed

Standard hydration day

When the tone is where you want it, use a hydration-focused shampoo and conditioner or scheduled non-purple mask. More pigment is not better when no tone correction is needed.

Soft conditioned colour-treated lengths with natural shine
Regular moisture care

When the colour looks right but the hair feels dry

Colour-treated hair may feel rougher, less flexible or harder to detangle. A regular moisture-focused wash routine can support softness, shine and manageability without turning every wash into a toning session.

  1. Argan Oil Hydrating Shampoo: the regular moisture-focused cleanse. Saturate the hair, work through the scalp and roots, let the lather move through the lengths, rinse thoroughly. Repeat only when needed.
  2. Argan Oil Hydrating Conditioner: after shampooing, remove excess water and coat the hair — current brand directions allow application from the scalp through the ends; fine or easily weighed-down hair may use less near the roots. Leave for approximately five minutes under the regular method, then rinse thoroughly. Its separate conditioner-as-mask method uses a longer ten-minute timing — keep the two methods distinct.
  3. Argan Oil Hair Mask: the richer scheduled moisture and repair-positioned treatment. Apply to freshly washed, towel-dried hair, leave for two to three minutes, rinse thoroughly, then follow with a compatible Celine Claire conditioner under the current directions. Do not automatically stack it with the conditioner’s ten-minute mask method or Purple Mask in the same wash.
The blonde-care bundle

A hydration trio with a purple mask

The current bundle contains the Argan Oil Hydrating Shampoo, the Argan Oil Hydrating Conditioner and the Purple Mask for Blonde Hair — a regular hydration pair plus a scheduled purple conditioning mask.

Hydration pair + purple conditioning mask

Silver & Purple Shampoo is not included. This is not the complete two-product purple-toning routine.

Applying heat-protection mist to sectioned colour-treated hair
Heat protection

Protect before the tool touches the hair

Heat Shield Hair Spray is a 100 ml thermal styling product for damp or dry hair. It belongs before blow-drying, flat ironing or curling — not after heat exposure as a repair claim.

  1. Divide damp or dry hair into manageable sections.
  2. Mist through the midlengths and ends so coverage is even.
  3. Distribute gently with hands or a suitable comb.
  4. If the hair is visibly wet from the mist, allow it to dry before direct contact with a flat iron or curling tool.
  5. Use the lowest effective tool temperature and avoid repeated passes where possible.
  6. Style as usual.

Coverage depends on hair length, density and section size — there is no universal spray count or temperature.

Measured finishing care

Finish without weighing down the result

Moroccan Argan Oil can support shine, softness, smoother feel and manageability when its measured methods are kept separate. For dry-hair finishing, use 1–2 drops over clean, dry lengths and ends. Fine, short or easily weighed-down hair should begin at the lower amount.

The dry-hair finishing method is not an overnight scalp treatment. The product’s separate overnight hair-and-scalp, shampoo-boost and leave-in methods each keep their own amount and placement.

Sleek smooth colour-treated hair with realistic texture
Professional-service aftercare

Daily smoothing care, with extra rules after a professional service

Keratin & Botox Shampoo and Keratin & Botox Conditioner are daily smoothing-maintenance products for colour-treated, chemically processed, dry, frizzy or difficult-to-manage hair. Their current product records also position them for maintenance after compatible professional Hair Botox or keratin services. Neither product is the professional treatment itself.

Choose this pair when smoother-looking manageability, detangling, softness and anti-frizz care are the main wash-day goals. It does not permanently straighten hair, repeat a salon service or guarantee how long a professional result lasts.

Before the first wash

Follow the waiting period and care instructions provided for the exact professional service. This page does not replace that protocol with a universal number of hours or days.

After the waiting period

  1. Wet the hair thoroughly.
  2. Cleanse the scalp and roots with Keratin & Botox Shampoo, allowing lather to move through the lengths.
  3. Rinse completely.
  4. Remove excess water.
  5. Apply Keratin & Botox Conditioner through the lengths and ends.
  6. Leave for approximately one minute under the current exact-product retailer method, unless the current production bottle or salon aftercare specifies another time.
  7. Add Heat Shield before thermal styling when needed.

05 · Smoothing-maintenance wash

Use Keratin & Botox Shampoo and Conditioner as the coordinated daily smoothing pair for relevant colour-treated or frizz-prone hair. After a recent professional service, wait the exact time required and confirm compatibility first. Do not combine this route with Purifying Shampoo unless a professional treatment protocol explicitly requires the preparation step.

Customer experiences

One of my favourites is the Moroccan Argan Oil ( hydrates and softens hair) WITH OUT making fine hair oily or greasy! As someone with fine hair personally, I can relate. I was VERY impressed to find that it actually does not make my hair greasy… and still gives me incredibly soft manageable, shiny hair!

Rachel Dabah

As someone who gets Keratin treatments 1-2 times a year, I'm really careful with the shampoo and conditioner I use because I want the treatment to last as long as possible! Celine Claire's shampoo and conditioner, and their hair mask, is truly the best one I've ever tried. My treatment has been intact for more than 3 months just by using this shampoo - and I've already pre-ordered the next batch of shampoo and conditioner for when I run out! Would highly recommend these products, and the customer service is amazing too 🙂

Colour-treated hair questions

Asked before choosing

Does every type of colour-treated hair need purple shampoo?

No. Purple shampoo is intended when blonde, platinum, silver, grey, highlighted or lightened sections show unwanted yellow or brassy-looking warmth. Other colours may need hydration or heat protection without violet pigment.

Does purple shampoo lighten hair?

No. It deposits temporary violet pigment to soften the appearance of yellow or brassy-looking warmth. It does not bleach or lighten the hair.

How long should I leave Silver & Purple Shampoo on?

Use approximately one minute for subtle toning or up to five minutes for a more intensive result, then rinse thoroughly. Begin conservatively and assess the dry result.

How often should I use Silver & Purple Shampoo?

The current direction positions it for once-weekly use. Adjust future timing and frequency according to the dry result and current package guidance rather than adding more pigment automatically.

Should I wear gloves with purple shampoo?

Yes. Wear gloves and protect clothing and porous surfaces because highly pigmented violet formulas may transfer or stain.

What is the difference between purple shampoo and Purple Mask?

Silver & Purple Shampoo cleanses and tones during the shampoo step. Purple Mask conditions and tones during the mask step. Their timing and what follows are different.

How long should I leave Purple Mask on?

Under the current approved direction, leave it on for no more than five minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Do I use conditioner after Purple Mask?

No. Purple Mask is the conditioning step on that wash day, so skip regular conditioner.

Can I use Silver & Purple Shampoo and Purple Mask together?

Yes, as a planned full purple routine when stronger toning suits the hair. Keep each product within its own timing, begin conservatively and avoid repeating the full pigmented routine more often than needed.

Do I need both purple products?

No. Choose shampoo-only, mask-only or a planned full purple routine according to whether cleansing, conditioning or stronger temporary toning is needed.

Can I use purple products on brown hair?

They may affect blonde, highlighted or lightened sections within brown hair. Do not expect a visible toning result on untreated dark brown sections.

Can purple products make hair look violet?

Temporary violet deposit can be more visible on very light, porous or overprocessed hair, especially with longer timing or frequent use. Begin conservatively, rinse thoroughly and judge the dry result.

What should I use when my colour looks right but my hair feels dry?

Choose regular hydration care, such as Argan Oil Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, and schedule a richer mask only when needed. Purple pigment is unnecessary when tone correction is not the goal.

Is the Argan Conditioner the same as the Argan Hair Mask?

No. They are separate products. The conditioner has a regular rinse-out method and a separate longer conditioner-as-mask method. Argan Oil Hair Mask has its own directions and role.

Can I use Purple Mask and Argan Oil Hair Mask in the same wash?

Do not stack them automatically. Choose the mask that matches the immediate goal: purple toning plus conditioning, or a non-purple richer moisture treatment.

What should I use before blow-drying or flat ironing coloured hair?

Use Heat Shield Hair Spray on damp or dry hair in sections before the tool. Distribute evenly and allow visibly wet mist to dry before direct contact with a flat iron or curling tool.

What temperature should I use on colour-treated hair?

Use the lowest effective setting for the hair, tool and style. There is no one universal temperature, because hair condition, density, texture and tool performance vary.

Can colour-treated hair use Keratin & Botox Shampoo and Conditioner without a keratin or Hair Botox service?

Yes. Their current product records also position them for colour-treated, chemically processed, dry and frizz-prone hair. A recent keratin or Hair Botox service is not required for ordinary colour-care use. If a professional service was performed, its compatibility rules and waiting period control the first wash.

Is Keratin & Botox Shampoo the treatment itself?

No. It is an after-treatment maintenance shampoo, not the professional Hair Botox or keratin service.

Will these products prevent colour from fading?

No shampoo, conditioner, mask, oil or spray is promised to prevent all fading. The colour formula, water temperature, wash frequency, sun, pool exposure, heat styling and service-specific care can all affect how colour changes. Choose products for the documented job and follow the colour professional’s instructions.

How often should I wash colour-treated hair?

There is no one schedule for every scalp, texture, colour formula or styling routine. Wash when the scalp and hair need cleansing, use the appropriate conditioner, and follow any waiting period or frequency given for the exact colour or smoothing service.

Is Celine Claire made in Canada?

Celine Claire is a Canadian haircare brand. Individual product manufacturing details are stated only where exact product documentation is approved.

How can I choose the right colour-care route?

Use the Hair Quiz for a Celine Claire product starting point, or begin with the route selector on this page: tone, moisture, heat or compatible service aftercare.

Final step

Give every wash one clear purpose

Tone when unwanted warmth appears. Hydrate when the colour looks right but the hair feels dry. Protect before heat. Follow the correct aftercare when a professional service changes the routine.
