Curl Essence Leave-In Conditioner for Curly Hair

$35.00

A moisturizing leave-in cream that helps shape waves, curls and coils without a hard or flaky finish. Apply a small amount to wet, sectioned hair for softer definition, frizz control, flexible hold and natural-looking movement.

Description

Curl Essence is a moisturizing leave-in cream for waves, curls, coils and permed hair. Apply a small amount to wet, sectioned hair after cleansing and rinse-out conditioning to shape the curl, add moisture and control frizz — without a hard, crunchy or flaky finish.

Description

Curl Essence Leave-In Conditioner is built for the space between two extremes: over-styling that flattens the pattern and leaves a stiff cast, and under-styling that lets frizz sneak back in section by section. It works as a creamy leave-in that goes onto wet hair, distributes evenly through the lengths and ends, and helps the curl hold its shape while still moving naturally.

Formulated with Argan Oil and Vitamin E, it adds leave-in moisture, helps smooth the cuticle so strands slide past one another more easily, and supports the feel of strength and elasticity. Suitable for loose waves through tight coils and for daily maintenance on permed curls.

Benefits
  • Flexible curl definition — shape and hold without a rigid cast.
  • Leave-in moisture for hair that feels dry or rough after cleansing.
  • Frizz control and a smoother-looking surface.
  • Bounce and visible volume through the curved parts of the hair.
  • Softer detangling during distribution.
  • No hard, crunchy or flaky finish when used correctly.
  • Suits loose waves through tight coils.
  • Works as daily maintenance for permed curls.
How to use
  1. Shampoo with a cleanser selected for your hair’s current needs.
  2. Apply a compatible rinse-out conditioner and rinse it fully.
  3. Keep the hair wet and divide it into 3–5 sections.
  4. Begin with approximately a penny-sized amount of Curl Essence in the palm.
  5. Spread it between both palms.
  6. Distribute through one section at a time, concentrating on the lengths and ends.
  7. Smooth downward for a looser pattern, or scrunch upward to encourage the existing curl.
  8. Add a little more only where a section still feels under-coated.
  9. Do not rinse. Air-dry or continue with the approved styling method.

Amount rule: Start small. Even distribution matters more than applying a large amount at once.

Amount guide by hair profile

Fine, short or low-density texture

Begin with less than a penny-sized amount. Keep most of the product on the lengths and ends, then assess before adding more.

Medium density or shoulder-length texture

Begin with approximately a penny-sized amount and distribute across sections. Add a small second amount only where needed.

Thick, long or highly porous texture

Work section by section. Use penny-sized as a starting point rather than a fixed total, and add gradually so each section is coated without becoming overloaded.

Styling paths

Soft wave definition

Use a light amount on wet hair. Smooth downward through the sections and avoid repeatedly scrunching if the goal is a looser pattern.

More encouraged curl shape

Distribute evenly on wet, sectioned hair and scrunch upward. Let the curl form without rough handling.

Permed-curl maintenance

Use a small amount after cleansing and rinse-out conditioning to help maintain shape, moisture and a touchable finish. Curl Essence does not replace the aftercare instructions supplied by your stylist for a chemical service.

FAQ

What does Curl Essence do?

It adds leave-in moisture while helping waves, curls and coils hold their shape. Supports definition, bounce, frizz control and manageability without a hard or flaky finish.

Is it a leave-in conditioner or a curl cream?

Both. A creamy leave-in conditioner with curl-shaping and flexible-hold benefits. Apply after rinse-out conditioning and leave it in while the hair dries.

How do I use it?

Apply to wet, sectioned hair after shampooing, conditioning and rinsing. Begin with a penny-sized amount, distribute evenly through the lengths and ends, then smooth or scrunch. Do not rinse.

How much should I use?

Begin with approximately a penny-sized amount. Fine or short hair may need less; thick, long or porous hair may need more, added gradually by section.

Wet or dry hair?

The current directions specify wet hair. A dry-hair refresh method is not currently published.

Do I rinse it out?

No. Curl Essence is a leave-in. A rinse-out conditioner belongs earlier in the routine and is rinsed away before Curl Essence is applied.

Will it make my hair crunchy?

Curl Essence is positioned to avoid a crunchy, hard or flaky finish. Using too much can still overload the hair, so start small.

Will it make fine hair greasy or flat?

Fine hair should begin with less than the standard amount and focus application on the lengths and ends. Add more only after checking distribution and finish.

Is it suitable for wavy hair?

Yes. Use a light amount and smooth downward for softer, looser definition.

Is it suitable for tight curls and coils?

Yes. Work in smaller sections so the product is distributed evenly.

Can I use it on permed hair?

Yes — daily maintenance for keeping permed curls shaped, moisturized and bouncy. Continue any aftercare instructions provided for the chemical service.

Does it control frizz?

Frizz control is one of the current benefits. Apply evenly to wet hair and avoid rough pulling or towel friction during styling.

Does it add volume?

The current description describes added spring and visible volume through the curved parts of the hair. Results vary with pattern, density, amount and drying method.

Does it contain Argan Oil and Vitamin E?

Yes, both are identified in the current Celine Claire description.

Can I use it every day?

Positioned for daily maintenance on permed curls. For other hair profiles, use when restyling or after cleansing and adjust frequency according to buildup and moisture needs.

Can I use it with gel?

Layering methods with a specific gel have not been tested and published. Curl Essence is already designed to give flexible shape without a hard finish.

Can I use it with Moisturizing Cream Leave-In?

Treat them as alternative leave-in paths for now — compatibility and layering order have not been published together.

Is it colour-safe?

A universal colour-safe claim is not published on this page. Use the Hair Quiz for a texture- and styling-based recommendation.

Does it provide heat protection?

Heat protection is not a verified Curl Essence claim. Use a separately approved heat-protection product if heat styling is planned.

Is it a scalp treatment?

No. Apply through wet hair, concentrating on the lengths and ends — not the scalp.

Is it made in Canada?

Celine Claire is a Canadian haircare brand. This page does not claim the finished product is manufactured in Canada.
