Access for every customer

Accessibility Statement

Celine Claire wants every customer to be able to explore our haircare, understand product information and complete a purchase with dignity, independence and equal opportunity.

We are working to make our website and digital services clear, flexible and compatible with a wide range of devices and assistive technologies. We also welcome requests for accessible information or another way to communicate with us.

Effective date: September 11, 2026 Last updated: September 11, 2026 Working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA
Summary

Our commitment

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the design and testing target for the website.
  • Customers may request accessible formats or communication support at no additional charge.
  • Essential product information and purchasing functions remain available when motion is reduced.
  • The core Hair Quiz result does not require an email address.
  • Feedback is welcome and helps identify and remove barriers.
  • The final public conformance wording will reflect completed audit results, not an unsupported claim.
01 · Our accessibility goal

The standard we are working toward

Celine Claire uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, as the target for the website's design, content and testing.

This target guides work on keyboard access, screen-reader support, text contrast, zoom and reflow, form instructions, error handling, video alternatives, motion preferences and consistent navigation.

Celine Claire is committed to providing a website and customer experience that are accessible to as many people as possible. We continue to review and improve the website with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our working accessibility target. This is an ongoing effort and is not a claim of certification.

We review accessibility as part of how we build and maintain the website, and we treat reports from customers as a priority. If you would like information about our approach, write to order@celineclaire.com.

02 · What we are doing

Accessibility is part of the build

Our website work includes:

  • organizing pages with meaningful headings and landmarks;
  • providing a skip link so keyboard users can move to the main content;
  • supporting keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus;
  • writing descriptive links, labels, instructions and error messages;
  • providing text alternatives for meaningful images;
  • keeping decorative imagery out of the reading order;
  • maintaining readable colour contrast and text size;
  • supporting browser zoom and content reflow on small screens;
  • respecting reduced-motion preferences;
  • avoiding interactions that require hover, precise movement or a mouse;
  • captioning or transcribing meaningful video and audio;
  • making product information available as readable text rather than only in images;
  • testing shopping, cart and checkout tasks with assistive technologies;
  • reviewing third-party services before they are added to essential customer journeys.
03 · Shopping & product journey

An accessible path from discovery to purchase

Customers should be able to:

  • browse product families and hair concerns;
  • search, filter and sort the catalogue;
  • read product names, prices, sizes, descriptions, ingredients, directions and warnings;
  • understand bundles and their included products;
  • use product image galleries without relying on hover;
  • receive the core Hair Quiz result without providing an email address;
  • review cart contents and correct checkout information;
  • understand required fields and resolve errors;
  • confirm currency, shipping, tax and the order total before payment;
  • access order confirmation and customer support.

The website may include animation, video and enhanced interactions, but essential product information and purchasing functions must remain available when motion is reduced, video does not play or JavaScript enhancements fail.

04 · Images, results & video

Visual content with useful alternatives

Product photographs have concise alternative text that identifies the product or important detail. Decorative images use an empty text alternative so they do not create noise for screen-reader users.

Before-and-after images, result galleries and charts require text that explains the meaningful comparison. A product-card image change on hover must not be the only place important information appears.

Meaningful spoken video content requires captions. Important visual action not explained in the audio requires an appropriate text description or other alternative. UGC video uses a poster and user-controlled playback rather than forced autoplay with sound.

05 · Animation & motion

Motion without blocking access

The website may use restrained editorial animation, including scroll-linked product stories. These experiences respect the device's reduced-motion setting and provide a static or simplified alternative with the same information and actions.

Animation must not prevent scrolling, trap focus, create flashing content, obscure controls or make a customer wait before accessing a product or purchase action.

06 · Accessible formats & communication support

Ask for another format

If you need public information from Celine Claire in another accessible format or need communication support, contact us. We will work with you to understand the request and provide a suitable option in a timely way.

Accessible options may include structured HTML, a readable digital document, larger text, a plain-language explanation, a transcript or assistance by telephone or email, depending on the information and the customer's needs.

No extra charge

There is no additional charge for an accessible format or communication support beyond any charge that applies to the original information.

If you need information from this website in another format, or help completing an order, contact order@celineclaire.com and tell us what would work best for you. You never need to disclose a diagnosis or any medical information to ask for help.

07 · Known limitations

Areas still being improved

We continue to review the website and connected services. If a part of the website is difficult to use, please tell us. We will investigate the barrier, offer a reasonable alternative where possible and use the feedback to guide improvements.

There are no known accessibility limitations at the time of our latest review. Experiences differ between people, devices and assistive technologies, so if something does not work for you we would genuinely like to hear about it.

Each confirmed limitation will be published in this format:

Affected feature · What may be difficult · Available alternative · Status · Next review.

08 · Third-party services

Services we do not fully control

Some website functions may rely on third parties, such as payment providers, embedded media, maps, review tools, delivery tracking or social platforms. We assess third-party services before placing them in important customer journeys and report barriers to their providers when appropriate.

Third-party ownership does not end our effort to provide an accessible way to shop or contact us. If a connected service creates a barrier, contact Celine Claire so we can discuss another reasonable route where one is available.

09 · Feedback & barrier reporting

Tell us about an accessibility barrier

Accessibility feedback helps us identify and remove barriers. You may contact us by email or telephone. If another communication method would work better, tell us what you need.

When possible, include:

  • the page address or feature involved;
  • what you were trying to do;
  • what happened;
  • the browser, device or assistive technology used, if you are comfortable sharing it;
  • the best accessible way to respond.
